Friday at the Fish Bowl

I am having trouble with my computer. I can't get my computer to post. The last 2 days I've tried to and it just won't.

I learned a different way to do transfers from Kae Pea at RubberMoon and put my own spin on it.
First paint the background of your substrate. I used 140# watercolor paper.
This can be acrylic, watercolor or I tried LIQUITEX Acrylic Gouache. This is a new product. I got a sample in my ART SNACK BOX.
It goes on so smooth but is not transparent like regular gouache. Wait for this to dry.

Cover the substrate with matte medium three times: one time vertically, one time horizontally and the third time vertically.
Let it dry.

Then I took my chosen laser picture and put it face down on were I would like my picture to be, but remember, if there are words they will come out backward

Let the games begin:   gather hi-flow acrylic from either  GOLDEN or LIQUITEX, water colors from  tubes like QoR  (my fav), water color crayons like  LYRA or STAEDTLER.
Paint first, again trying NOT to get it too wet.
If you want to transfer more on the substrate with the original transfer go ahead, then you can or cannot collage it. What ever goes, goes.

I redid my funny guy and I like the way he turned out.

Under his tie it says  GET WELL SOON.

So that's all for today and we shall see what tomorrow will bring...

Welcome to the FISH BOWL,

Today has been busy busy.
I turned on my computer and what do I find but Kae Pea from Rubber Moon Stamps doing a Makey Day. This is when she does a regular scheduled project or like today just random art. She spent the whole day in her studio and video chatted on-line ALL day. The only thing I can say is it was AWESOME!!

I tried to get a few things done in between but didn't really just sweeping the floor and washing some dishes because I could hear and see the computer from the kitchen.
I read a few e-mails and found out one of my friends just got out of the hospital so I thought I would send her the funny man I made yesterday to cheer her up.

Well here he is. He still needs hands and a message which I think I will put on his shirt, but now that I look at him I think I will change his shirt from a turtle neck to a dress shirt and a tie and dress shoes. Then I will put the message under the tie which I will make our of the same paper as his pants and make it really wide.

Its getting late and I haven't eaten and need to return some supplies to the barn and get some others for tomorrows project. GELLI PLATE which I had planned on for today until I ran into the video on-line.

Please come back tomorrow and see what I've done here at the FISH BOWL.
Bye for now,
PUFF

Hello again fish finders,

I went out to the barn where my stuff is stored while we
get ready to build a house and I got caught up in sorting
paper, you all know how that is.
It was 45 degrees out and I was taking Sable out to play ball and decided to go look for a piece of paper. After quite a while I was really cold and hungry.  I went in to make something to eat.  I made some... you guested it leftover turkey and off I set to make one of my funny people they take no time at all and are fun to get as a extra in an envelope. I have even put them in bills. I wonder what they when they open up the envy and find one. Probably these people are crazy.
I wanted to take a picture and put it in today but my phone died and I have a crappy battery and it is taking forever to charge.
I spent some of today drawing funny people faces while watching Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies. I am planning on using them on future sheets I hope to have for sale soon. Sneak peak tomorrow.

Well this fish is off to clean up my fish bowl,
PUFF

P.S. Don't forget to tell your friends I out here!

Deciding to teach

TEACHING

I have decided that with all the supplies and all the knowledge I have I should start teaching again.
I used to teach long ago but had to give it up because my work schedule got crazy.   Well now I am retired and have time. Although my grandmother-in-law once said she was busier  when she was retired than when she was working. I am finding this to be true.
There are so many things to do and it seems there is not enuff time to do them all and one must choose. So I have chosen to put together some of my skills to design classes.
Watch this site to see what I come up with.

If you have any request to see something and it is part of my work please don't hesitate to ask and I will try to fulfill what you are looking for. It may take a day or two to dig out the project but I will try or else I will make something if at all possible.
Spread the word that I am here...

Thanx,
PUFF
